MORTON, IL – SparkLearn, a learning experience software-as-a-service platform for mobile and deskless workers, announced the closing of its initial pre-seed round, raising $800K. The pre-seed round allows the company to continue to market, develop and scale its operations.

SparkLearn is an adaptive microlearning platform for businesses or organizations that enables learners to get quick and easy access to training materials and performance support tools. SparkLearn offers a native mobile app experience and an easy-to-use web-based content management system. The data and analytics gathered by the product provide insights to companies for better decision making regarding talent development and skill gaps.

The company closed its round oversubscribed, doubling its original goal. It received $200K from Western Governors University Labs, $300K from a Peoria-area angel investor along with $100K from gener8tor as part of its acceptance into the OnRamp accelerator. Right Side Capital Management is leading the round with $200K.

The Morton-based tech startup is an alum of Distillery Labs’ free gBETA Distillery Labs accelerator, having completed the program Spring 2022. SparkLearn was later accepted into gener8tor’s OnRamp Education & Workforce Innovation accelerator program. The company completed the 12-week, equity-based accelerator late spring. SparkLearn later pitched its platform at the OnRamp Education & Workforce Innovation Conference in Minneapolis, MN, in June.
