Championing the Next Generation: Manual High School's Inaugural Pitch Day
It's an exciting time for innovation and entrepreneurship at Manual High School. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of staff, students, and community partners, the school recently hosted its first-ever Pitch Day—an event designed to showcase student-led startups and foster entrepreneurial spirit among our youth.
The event was nothing short of spectacular, as students embraced the opportunity with enthusiasm, confidence, and commendable professionalism. We're exceptionally proud to work with staff to establish high standards set by these young entrepreneurs, who rose to the occasion and delivered outstanding presentations despite the inherent challenges of such an ambitious project.
This event was brought to life through the collective efforts of Greg Gilson, Manual High School’s Computer Science and Entrepreneurship Educator, the Turner School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Bradley University, and a team of gBETA alumni startup founders together with members of the Distillery Labs team. The collaborative efforts enriched the students' learning journey, providing them with real-world perspectives and professional insights.
Now, it's time to shine a spotlight on the stars of the day - our winners. In first place, we have Good Finds. They were closely followed by Thermo-Bowl in second place, and Vendi securing third place. Congratulations to these remarkable young entrepreneurs!
